Whenever there’s carrot cake in a buffet, my body starts sending me signals. I’ll call it my hypoglycemic hunger.
I like to think that it’s the sweetest healthiest dessert on earth. My mouth dives directly in the cream cheese frosting and then, I get to taste the real goodness of vitamin A.
I mean, my mother always told me you should eat more carrots, it’s good for your eyes. I listened to her, but my heredity decided otherwise.
Here I am typing with my contact lenses, eyes itching and red. I should get up and put my glasses instead. But if you want a sincere answer. I am not getting up. Not until I finish those fluffy fall-flavored waffles. I hope it will give you a good reason to save some money and buy a waffle iron. It’s that good.
Fall is upon us and carrots are everywhere in almost every Crayola color.
